Queer Cat Mug

Description

Add a truly unique and conversation-starting piece to your kitchen or office with this quirky ceramic 11oz Queer Cat mug. It features a fascinating vintage illustration titled “Here’s a Queer Cat – Despises Other Cats and Humans, But Consorts with Poultry”. Reproduced from historical archives, this design is an illustration from an article in the Daily Times, Davenport, Iowa in 1895.

How It’s Made

This Queer Cat Mug is especially made for you as soon as you place the order by Prodigi (my print on demand partner), which is why it takes a little longer to be delivered to you. Making products on demand helps reduce overproduction and waste.  I’ve chosen Prodigi because the products are printed here in the UK, with high-quality eco-concious materials, water-based inks and plastic-free packaging.

Meet Sea

I am a queer, disabled artist and educator based in Brighton. I work in mixed media, drawing, printmaking, and participatory work. Art allows me to reclaim my narrative as one of creativity and recovery, rather than survival. In 2025, my sculpture We All Remember it Differently was exhibited in the Outside In National Open. I created and published The Disability Card Deck; a therapeutic and educational resource. – Sea, Independent Artist.
